The ai package is responsible for abstracting the interactions with third-party AI services like OpenAI, Anthropic, and others. It provides a consistent interface for the rest of the application to use when performing AI-related tasks, such as text generation or image analysis.
This package is a key part of our Multi-Modal AI Architecture, acting as the AI Service Layer. It allows us to switch between different AI providers or add new ones without needing to refactor the application's business logic.
